Tajasnoyo (Ferula lancerottensis)
Annual herb, with flowering stems to 1.5-2 m. Leaves up to 60 cm long, glossy and deep dark green, segments 4 cm wide. Umbels of numerous yellow flowers, 8 cm across. This species is a native of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, growing in valleys and north-facing hillsides with a certain degree of atmospheric moistures, from 250-650 m. Rather uncommon, it is relegated to very few locations, although it can be locally frequent, e.g., on the lower inland slopes of Famara and Haría-Los Valles (Lanzarote).
