Siempreviva espinocha (Limonium tuberculatum)

Shrublet up to 60 cm, highly branched, stems jointed or tuberculate, with very small, barely visible leaves. Inflorescences are terminal, short and not winged, flowers with pink bracts, very striking when in bloom. Typical of coastal saline environments (salt flats, natural hollows, etc.), exclusive to the Canary Islands and Northwest Africa (South Morocco, Western Sahara and Mauritania). Currently it only grows naturally on the Isla de Lobos, where it is common in specific areas; however, in the past, it also grew in Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria.
