Siempreviva de Fariones (Limonium puberulum)

Small perennial herb, with a woody base, highly branched, often cushion-shaped. Leaves with a short leaf stalk, ovate or spathulate, up to 5 cm long, pubescent, glaucous, rather fleshy, margins ciliate. Inflorescences small, terminal, with white flowers and bluish-purple bracts. An endemic of Lanzarote that has been recorded in La Graciosa and Fuerteventura, although its presence in these islands is currently in question. This plant grows on the coastal cliffs of Famara and lower inland slopes, from 100-600 m, and is generally found on rocky surfaces, as well as on stony plains. Although over 2,000 specimens have been counted in their natural habitat, it has been classified as Vulnerable. It is highly prized as an ornamental and is widely grown in the gardens of Lanzarote.
