Pataconejo carnosa (Polycarpaea carnosa)

Pendulous, woody at base, leaves round and rather fleshy, glabrous and light green. Inflorescences are terminal and subglobular, with yellowish-green flowers. This native of the Canary Islands is exclusive to Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Gomera, where it grows in rocky habitats, on crags, ravine walls and ledges, and in malpaíses or badlands, from sea level to 500 m. It is common in certain areas, but distribution can be relatively restricted (e.g., in Tenerife).
