Oro de risco (Anagyris latifolia)
Shrub very woody and branched up to 3.5 m (more rarely 5 m), deciduous in the dry season (summer and part of autumn). Leaves are trifoliate, light green and rather fleshy. Flowers are bright yellow, terminal or subterminal, producing a drooping effect from the weight of the flowers. Fruits are large legumes (up to 10 cm long), initially green but becoming light brown when ripe; they contain several yellowish seeds. Native to the Canaries, relegated to the islands of Gran Canaria (extremely rare), Tenerife, La Gomera and La Palma, generally in few locations and with few specimens, although in certain areas of Tenerife (for example, Icod de los Vinos), it is relatively common. This thermophile, which grows between 50 and 800 m, is often found on remote rocky outcrops, ravine walls and ledges of difficult access. It has been classified as an endangered species.
