Furalha, malfurada (Hypericum foliosum)
Small glabrous shrub, rather branched from the base. Leaves are lanceolate or narrowly ovate, up to 6 cm long. Flowers are terminal, yellow, up to 2 cm across. The fruit is a subglobose capsule, almost 1 cm in diameter. This endemic of the Azores is distributed throughout the archipelago from 100 m, although it flourishes from 400-900 m, within the potential domains of evergreen woodland and juniper forests. It is relatively common in some areas, though distribution is scattered, and is found on rocky surfaces.
