Falso balo de risco (Dicheranthus plocamoides)

Dwarf shrub (up to 30 cm tall), stems erect and highly branched at base. Leaves are linear, greyish-blue, fleshy. Inflorescences are terminal, long, with numerous pinkish or greyish-pink flowers. Native to Tenerife and La Gomera, it is more locally distributed in the former (between Los Silos and Santiago del Teide), while in La Gomera it is present across the north, east and west-southwest sectors of the island. Rather abundant in certain zones, ravine walls and inland cliffs, up to 500 m. Dicheranthus is a monospecific genus exclusive to the Canary Islands.
