Cabezón de la cumbre (Cheirolophus teydis)

Shrub up to 1.5 m, highly branched from the base, with light green branches. Leaves are linear-lanceolate, entire, dentate. Flowers are arranged in solitary, globose yellowish or creamy-white heads. Native to Tenerife and La Palma, typical of high montane areas (2,000-2,400 m altitude), locally abundant. Curiously late-flowering in midsummer. Part of the Flaviflorae section of the genus Cheirolophus, as are other native species of the Canary Islands.
