Alhelí de medianía (Erysimum bicolor)

Small, erect shrub, up to 1.8 m, woody and often rather branched. Leaves are linear-lanceolate, narrow, with serrate margins, 8-15 cm in diameter. Flowers are pink or lilac, gradually turning white in time, in a terminal inflorescence. Endemic to Madeira and the Canaries, it appears throughout the central and western Canary Islands. Sightings have been given for the Savage Islands, although their accuracy has been questioned. Locally common in the Canaries between 300 and 1,000 m, especially in thermophile vegetation domains and in degraded evergreen woodland. In Madeira it is distributed from sea level to 1,800 m, where montane vegetation abounds.
